At 8pm, Friday the 26th of June 1SK took on Anxiety - arguably one of the most skilled sides in the competition - in the Cybergamer COD4 S&D Preliminary Final. 1SK went in knowing they had a great challenge ahead of them and were prepared to fight for their spot in the Grand Final.

1SK started on Attack and were quite confident their newly developed ideas and strategies would cause trouble for Anxiety. However, iblurz and Buzzin had either side of the map pretty well locked down, causing some disarray amongst 1SK. One Shot Kill then managed to get a few good pushes and take some rounds despite Anxiety's defence remaining sound. ERS showed his true flair and ability on Attack with some great centre pushes, opening up the map to his team mates. At half time scores ended 5-7 Anxiety's way.

1SK held their ground in Defence and managed to stop a lot of their rushes, in particular a special shout-out to TGR, WAR and CNA for holding the A bombsite phenomenally as Anxiety tried again and again to attack it. 1SK first encountered some troubles in their Defence when Anxiety began to hold back and out-shoot 1SK, enabling them to get a few rounds back. It was then that TWI found himself in a pressure-laden clutch situation and managed to boost the entire teams confidence by taking out the round.

Depsite a few good pushes and rushes from Anxiety, 1SK's Defence still held firm. The game came down to a single round, where if 1SK was to win, they'd win the match and if Anxiety were to win, they'd obtain a draw and the battle would continue. However, 1SK was to succeed on this day and secured a position in their first Cybergamer Grand Final by winning the final round convincingly. The second-half concluded 8-4 1SK's way, and sealed the match 13-11 - a great, team-effort win from the 1SK guys.

Good game to Anxiety. Cheers for getting this game out of the way, especially with all the prior inconveniences we both encountered. Awesome stuff One Shot Kill!
